FAQ

If you’re wondering about pain relief therapies, what they involve and how they might be able to help you, then read the FAQs for more information. If you think you might benefit from a treatment, then  call to arrange an appointment or book online using the booking link on the website.

  • Your first appointment: what should I bring with me?

If you have reports from scans or x-rays please bring them with you. Also, a list of medications you may be on.

  • What to expect
    • You may be required to undress to your underwear for examination and treatments; if you feel more comfortable, you can wear shorts and a t-shirt or swimsuit top.
    • If you wish, you can bring someone with you to sit in the corner and act as a chaperone; all persons under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone.
    • Bring a list of all medications, scan results. etc.
    • The first session will involve a comprehensive assessment and — depending on the therapist and type of treatment — could take anywhere from one hour to one and a half hours.
  • Cost of treatment

  • Covid19 policy

    Covid Policy

Although COVID-19 is a mild disease for most people, it can make some very ill. Around one in every five  people who catch COVID-19 need hospital treatment. The aim of these measures is to ensure continued good health for all my clients, others who they may come into contact with and for myself.

These are the questions I need to ask before you attend a clinic appointment:

Have you tested positive or had treatment for COVID-19?

    • Have you experienced any cold or flu-like symptoms in the last 14 days, or has a health professional asked you to self-isolate in the last 14 days?
    • Have you been in close contact with someone experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, or have you cared for someone testing positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
    • Do you have a high temperature? This will mean you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
    • Do you have a new, continuous cough? This means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual).
    • Do you have a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste? This means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal.
    • Do you have a severe headache which won’t go away? (unusual for you)
    • Do you have pains in your chest or diarrhoea
    • Do you have a sore throat?
    • Do you have a rash anywhere on your body?

If you have any of these signs or symptoms, please cancel your appointment which can be re-arranged to a later date.

    Appointment procedure

When you make a booking, I will send you a Covid19 consent form along with a medical history form. Please email these back to me prior to your appointment.

All appointments will have a 30 minute gap between each. This is to carry out cleaning and sanitisation procedures and a change of clothing for myself.

Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment, press the buzzer and I will let you in.  Please then proceed upstairs to wash and dry your hands. Once this is done, use a paper towel to open doors on your way out of the washroom and back down to my room. Dispose of the paper towel in the pedal bin outside my room.

The door to my room will be open for you to enter after washing your hands.

Please wear a face mask. If you don’t have one, I will supply you one after you have washed your hands. Keep the face mask on until you leave the room and then dispose of it in an appropriate manner once outside the building.

Please also bring a zip up bag or sports bag in which to place your clothes when you undress. I will also give you plastic shoe covers for your feet which I will ask you to dispose of in the peddle bin in my room after your treatment.

Prior to commencing any treatment, I will need to check your temperature with a non-contact thermometer. If your temperature is above the recommended range, I will ask you to re-arrange the appointment.

If you develop symptoms of illness or test positive for COVID-19 within two weeks of your treatment, please call me immediately.

I will be wearing a face mask, gloves and scrubs throughout the appointment. These will be changed and replaced after each client as will all linen used.

Client guests: at this time, I cannot allow guests to wait for clients outside or in the treatment room except for parents accompanying a minor.

All payments will be by card. Payment equipment will be sanitised before and after each transaction.

These measures are for your continued health, the people you are likely to come into contact with and myself, to make sure I’m available to continue my work.

The situation may change over the coming months, along with recommendations from the government and my governing body. I will keep you informed of these measures. Thank you for being so understanding and I look forward to seeing you at your next appointment.
